Community Church of Hendersonville (CCH) seeks an Executive Pastor to lead and manage our mission to be relevant, connected people, radically changed by the love of Jesus, impacting our neighbors, near and far, with transforming truth and dynamic compassion.

As Community Church of Hendersonville (CCH) continues to grow and respond to the needs of the community and people it serves, the role of an Executive Pastor will work alongside the Senior Pastor to implement church goals by implementing strategies and systems to accomplish the vision of the church. The Executive Pastor will provide leadership and management to the internal operations of the church and church staff. This position will allow the senior pastor to have full capacity to serve as the spiritual leader for the congregation and provide overall vision and care to the people of the church and the community at large.

The Executive Pastor will be a relational and high-capacity leader to help CCH grow and influence our community and organization. This person must agree to the vision, goals and statements of faith and belief of CCH. The Executive Pastor will have a strong command of biblical scripture and be a committed Christ-follower. The person seeking to serve as Executive Pastor will have experience inspiring and equipping leaders to serve and lead as well as demonstrated experience being a good role-model, team player, and coach working with a variety of people and positions.

The Position

You Have:

  • Endorsed the current vision, goals and statements of faith/belief of CCH
  • Bachelor’s degree required, masters + preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an executive leadership role
  • General financial skills that support budget development and management
  • Experience managing and leading others and building a healthy culture and infrastructure that allows successful ministry to grow and develop
  • Strong command of Biblical scripture and a committed relationship with Christ
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience solving issues that need critical attention with strength and integrity
  • Proven history of inspiring and equipping leaders to serve and lead
  • Strong relational skills that enable effective team building

You Will:

  • Support the mission of the church by developing and executing strategies, systems and tactics that help us achieve our goals
  • Implement metrics and a dashboard used to measure progress towards strategic and tactical goals. The dashboard will serve as the primary briefing document for organizational leadership
  • Support and grow a healthy culture that enables teams and individuals to thrive and succeed
  • Lead and manage the internal operations of the church and the ministry teams
  • Create and maintain staff policies, procedures, operational best practices, and standards, for executing on goals
  • Develop the staff/ministries to include training, development, mentoring, coaching, evaluation, compensation and employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws while supporting employee growth and development
  • Maintain FISCAL oversight and responsibility to the annual ministry budgets
