What’s up! My name is Samuel Parsons and I am from the small country town of Placerville located in the foothills of Northern California. I am fixated on helping people encounter Jesus because I believe an encounter can change your entire life. Before becoming the lead pastor at Community Church Hendersonville I married my high school sweetheart Britton who loves the hard challenging work of staying home and raising our three littles. Rayland is our oldest passionate about sports and Minecraft. Brooklyn our middle is the source of much laughter and our youngest keeps us on our toes. Before becoming the mother to our three kids Britton served as a registered nurse while she put me through seminary. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Sacramento State University. My bride and I moved to Denver to attend Denver Seminary. At Denver Seminary I received my Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Philosophy of Religion. Years after receiving my MDIV I received my Doctorate from Denver Seminary. In my doctoral research, I studied the relationship between two of my greatest passions, preaching and life transformation. In a nutshell, I am a simple guy who loves God his wife, and fly fishing. If you are new I want you to know you are welcome to come join our church family on a Sunday. I can’t wait to meet you!
