What’s up! My name is Samuel Parsons, and I am from the small country town of Placerville located in the foothills of Northern California. I am fixated on helping people encounter Jesus because I believe an encounter with Jesus can change your entire life. Before becoming the lead pastor at Community Church Hendersonville, I married my high school sweetheart, Britton, who loves the hard and challenging work of staying home and raising our four littles. Rayland is our oldest and passionate about sports and Minecraft. Brooklyn, our middle, is the source of much laughter, and our youngest, Londyn, keeps us on our toes as she pursues her love for art and dance. Maverick is our youngest and all smiles. Before becoming a mother, Britton served as a registered nurse to support us while I attended seminary. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Sacramento State University, my bride and I moved to Denver for me to attend Denver Seminary. At Denver Seminary, I received my Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Philosophy of Religion. Years after receiving my MDIV, I received my Doctorate from Denver Seminary. In my doctoral research, I studied the relationship between two of my greatest passions, preaching and life transformation. In a nutshell, I am a simple guy who loves God, his wife, and fly fishing.
